Established in 1985, the Airbus Miami Training Centre (MIA ATC), is a key element of the Airbus Flight Training network, serving North America, Latin America and broader international regions. Our 110, 000 square-foot facility, accomodates a total of x6 Full Flight Simulators (FFS), including x3 A320, x1 A330/A340, x1 A350 and provides maintenance and hangarage services for x1 ATR FFS.
In 2018, Airbus acquired a 39, 000 square-foot facility in Denver to meet the training needs of Frontier Airlines. This centre is equipped with x4 A320 Full Flight Simulators.

MIA ATC is an FAA Part 142 Training Centre, recognised as the Centre of Excellence for the region. It holds numerous global certifications and approvals, including GACA Foreign ATO certification and approvals from ANAC (Brazil), DGCA (India), DGAC (Colombia), DCA, CAA (UK), AFAC (Mexico) and EASA.
MIA ATC provides comprehensive flight crew training services, such as pilot type rating, cross-crew qualification, recurrent training and maintenance training for Airbus jetliner variants (A320, A330/A340, A350)

“TSA” (Transportation Security Administration)
Under the United States law and regulations, all non-US citizens and nationals seeking flight training are defined as “candidates” and must undergo a Security Threat Assessment (STA).
If you wish to candidate, you must therefore apply for a Security Threat Assessment. You shall then receive a Determination of Eligibility from TSA before you can take part in the flight training.
The Airbus Training Centre is authorised to train foreign pilots under the ASFP program. It requires that trainees subject to TSA AFSP regulations comply with TSA ASFP application process and regulations, and be able to produce to ATC relevant personnel TSA approval and other relevant documents prior to starting the training portion of their course subject to TSA regulations on practical training on full flight simulators. Those unable to provide the relevant documents will not be permitted to attend any training requiring TSA approval.
Once granted, the TSA authorisation shall remain valid for a period of up to five years.

Pilot trainees can enjoy our crew lounge to unwind and relax before, during and after their training sessions. Complimentary refreshments are available.

Food and soft drinks can be purchased from the vending machines in the cafeteria.
There are also a few restaurants located within walking distance from the training center.

Airbus Denver Training Centre
The Airbus Training Centre located in the Denver metropolitan area, in Aurora, Colorado, is a key part of Airbus' global training network.
This facility was established to address the growing demand for pilot training in the United States of America.
In 2018, Airbus acquired the facility, which is approximately 39,000 square feet. A significant factor in this acquisition was to better serve the training needs of Frontier Airlines.
Airbus has partnered with Frontier providing 70% of their Dry Training which includes 1,800 recurrent pilots, 500 new pilots, 424 maintenance technicians and 1,770 flight attendants annually. Over 45 Frontier Airline employees work at Denver Airbus Training Center.
The establishment of the Denver Training Center is part of Airbus's broader strategy to expand its global training capacity and provide training facilities that are more accessible to its customers in the region.
Pilot trainees have access to crew lounges and Wifi to unwind and relax before, during, and after their training session.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase in our cafeteria vending machines. Complimentary gourmet coffee options available at the coffee station.
