This aircraft is serving everybody, everywhere; from the biggest megacities to the smallest dream islands, this aircraft continues to please passengers and airlines alike. As a twin-engine twin-aisle widebody that can carry between 277 to 440 passengers, the A330-300 is flexible enough to offer a range of seating options while consistently delivering high-quality comfort to all those on board.

Benefitting from continuous investment over the last 20 years it, incorporates the most modern amenities in comfort and in-flight experience. The spacious and inviting cabin features elegant ambient lighting, comfortable seats that are wider than its rivals and the latest-generation entertainment systems. Its cabin is also one of the quietest in the skies, creating a calm environment for the entire flight. Movies on-demand allow passengers to suit their own personal tastes, while satellite connectivity options can let passengers use mobile phones, internet and email in the air – allowing them to stay up-to-date with social media, business emails or whatever is happening on the ground.

Getting better year by year

Airbus invests 150 million euros annually in the A330 programme to deliver continuous innovation to this jetliner product line, which results in lower costs and better operations for the A330-300. Like all Airbus aircraft, The A330-300 utilises the fly-by-wire digital control system, but also incorporates several new features. These upgrades range from weight reductions in the airframe, introduction of modern passenger cabin features, and system improvements to engine upgrades and advanced navigation systems in the cockpit. They also result in longer maintenance check intervals.

A further enhancement of the A330 comes with Airbus’ launch of an increased maximum takeoff weight capability to 242 metric tonnes.  With this improvement, the A330-300 benefits from up to 500 nautical miles of extra range, to 6,350 nautical miles (11,750 km.) with 277 passengers, and carries nearly five tonnes more payload than the previous 235-tonne aircraft.

In operational terms, the increased takeoff weight A330-300 can connect to the following new city pairs: London to Tokyo; Frankfurt to Cape Town; Beijing to Melbourne; Beijing to San Francisco; Kuala Lumpur to Paris; and Los Angeles to Dublin.

The New Engine Option (NEO)

Building on the proven success of its popular widebody A330 Family, Airbus officially launched the A330neo (new engine option) – comprising the A330-800neo and A330-900neo versions – in July 2014.

As the newest member of the A330 Family, the A330neo is a truly modern aircraft that shares the values of Airbus’ market-leading widebody product line: unrivalled cost-efficiency for airlines and superior comfort for passengers.
