Advanced technology

Airbus corporate jets capitalise on the latest advances in aerospace technology to deliver real benefits to customers, while continuing to evolve with new advances in aircraft and engine design.

The modern designs of the ACJ Family mean that they come with more features as standard, including many that bring efficiency and cost-savings. These features include streamlined, aerodynamically efficient designs, pilot-pleasing common cockpits, fly-by-wire controls that save weight and maintenance, as well as introducing greater protection, weight-saving materials such as carbon-fibre, and time and cost-saving centralised maintenance.

All Airbus aircraft also come with Category 3B autoland, which allows them to get their passengers where they are going, even when poor visibility means that other aircraft have to go elsewhere.

They also have advanced specifications that deliver many features as standard, such as additional navigational aids, fuel-saving wingtip fences, and weight-saving carbon brakes.

In addition to proven reliability in widespread airline service, Airbus corporate jet customers also benefit from a global network of technical advice, spare parts and training that serves thousands of aircraft and more than 500 customers and operators, as well as providing more personalised service that understands the needs of a wide range of operators.

Innovation

The culture of innovation that Airbus has fostered since its inception continues today, as the company remains committed to developing pioneering technological solutions that make flight better and more efficient.

One example is the cockpit that is shared by all Airbus aircraft in production today, which features the same layout of instruments and controls – as well as similar handling qualities and procedures. This makes it easier for pilots to move from one Airbus aircraft type to another during their career; saving time and money during the transition.

Another major enhancement of Airbus’ corporate jet series is the launch of the ACJneo (new engine option) Family. Comprising the ACJ319neo and ACJ320neo, these jetliners offer the two latest generation engine choices of the A320neo Family – Pratt & Whitney’s PW1100G and CFM International’s LEAP-1A – as well as Sharklet wingtip devices and improvements in cabin comfort and fuel capacity.

In addition, the company also offers the world’s most modern VIP widebody, including the ACJ350 XWB – the ACJ version of the popular A350 XWB airliner. With its carbon fibre fuselage and spacious Easyfit-provisioned interior, this corporate jet delivers more capacity, capability and comfort – giving customers a newer, better way to take their business to the world.

Other innovations include advanced fuel-saving aerodynamic designs that are a feature of every member of the modern Airbus family of jetliners, extensive use of weight-saving materials such as advanced alloys and composites, and time and cost-saving centralised maintenance.
